eidi saves a lonely lynx from a trap in the forest. Unbeknownst to her grandfather, she cares for her new friend and never wants to be separated from him again. When Heidi discovers that the community is hunting the young lynx's family and that the mudslide that forced the timid animals closer to the village was caused by radical deforestation on the other side of the mountain, she does everything she can to save the lynx and protect her home from the clutches of a greedy sawmill owner.

The lives of the idle inhabitants of the KooKoo corral are abruptly disrupted by the plans of Musk Melon, an eccentric millionaire who plans to build a tourist space rocket station. Together, led by the intelligent and politically correct Beauty, the animals embark on a madcap adventure to preserve their way of life.
