A group of young researchers enters a film archive and provide a view into its life. It is from that process of work and afier the visit to prehistoric caves that questions arise regarding the function of an archive, the passage of time or the human imprint.

A writer travels along the Danube in search of the river's origin. It is said that its waters originate from a badly closed tap in a house. On the way he meets a young fugitive who escapes from his house by descending the river. Does the young fugitive come from the source of the Danube? What story does the young fugitive hide?
