Cimasub 2024, the edition with more works presented in 48 years of history, thank you for making it possible!
The organising team of the Donostia - San Sebastian International Underwater Film Festival, CIMASUB, is deeply grateful for the incredible reception of our competition this year. We are honoured to share that, once again, we have exceeded expectations with an extraordinary participation that highlights the growing interest and passion for the underwater world.
This year we received more than 300 entries, with over 600 photographs, 82 short films and 27 documentaries of spectacular quality from all corners of the globe. These numbers reflect not only the creative excellence of the authors, but also the global commitment to the conservation and care of the oceans.
During the month of October, the list of winners and the official selection of the works that will be screened in cinemas and shown in the photographic exhibitions during this new edition, the 48th, which will take place on 21, 22 and 23 November at the Teatro Principal in Donostia-San Sebastián, will be published. In addition, there will be several photographic exhibitions spread around the city, highlighting the exhibition at the Aquarium, which will be open throughout the month of November. This space will be a window to contemplate the beauty and mystery of the seabed through the lenses of internationally renowned underwater photographers.
We would like to give special thanks to all the professionals and amateurs who have contributed with their talent and effort to make this edition so special. Thanks to you, CIMASUB continues to grow, this year our CIMASUB TOUR 23/24, which will end in October, is going to surpass all the figures of previous editions, more than 18,000 people attending the 30 events organised in 27 different locations.
Congratulations to all the participants for the magnificent work presented. We wish you all the best of luck in the 48th edition of CIMASUB, whose winners will be announced in October together with the official programme. See you at the screenings!
