Animadeba is back with its 17th edition, and one more year, we want to support the creation of animated films and series. That is why this year we are once again launching the Work In Progress section. Feature films and animated series that are in the embryonic stage will be admitted and will have two categories, WIP New Talents, aimed at new creators, and WIP Professionals. In both categories, participants are eligible for a prize of 500 euros. There will also be a prize for the best project in Basque. 

RULES

The XVII Animadeba International Animated Film Festival wants to support the creation of animated films, for which it has opened the call for entries in the Work in Progress section. The aim of this meeting is to promote and encourage the production of short animated films on project.

The following categories are accepted:

• Animation Short Films
• Animation Series

 

CONDITIONS

Submitting animated film projects to Animadeba means:

Projects must be in embryonic stage or in development, i.e. unfinished. The presentation of the project to the jury and the professionals will take place in a time limit of 15 minutes. The presentations will take place within the framework of the festival on September 5. The presentation will be broadcast via streaming in collaboration with EITB (Basque Public Television).

 

AWARDS

The jury will award two prizes:

• DAMA New Talent Award 500 €.
• DAMA Work in Progress Award 500 €.

Berria newspaper will present the award for the best work in Basque. The awards will be presented at the closing gala of the Animadeba film festival, to be held on September 7.

JURY

The WIP Jury will be composed of 3 professionals and experts.

 

WHEN AND WHERE TO SEND

• Projects should be sent to info@animadeba.com : project memory + 2 stills (1920x1080dpi).
• The deadline for submission starts on May 1st and ends on June 9th, 2024.
